The taste of crow...

Ok, I give up.

I have been called on my reaction to other people's reactions,
and I think my knee-jerk (emphasis on jerk) reaction of saying
that I would invalidate subscriptions was too hasty.

I am sorry. Disregard all the rhetoric. Erase, erase.

The confusion is due to the limited ability of the list server
to process the GET command. It can only respond to commands whose
parameters are included in the subject line.

So, for instance, if you send a get command with the filenames
you want to retrieve in the body of the message, the server thinks
that this is simply a message for the list.

Likewise, if the subject begins with RE: or any other word than
GET, any normal command like GET will be ignored.

To format the string correctly, please make your subject something like:

GET FILE1.TXT, FILE2.TXT

Sorry again for the too-quick reaction.
