You might also want to know that an ICO file can be just a renamed BMP file.
You can make a MY.BMP with the Paint program which comes with MS Windows (or
with pretty much any other image editor, as the wise and accomplished Rick
pointed out) and then save it as MY.BMP and then rename it to MY.ICO and
then use it as an icon and then go out for coffee and then come back and pen
an essay on run-on sentences.
