That was where I first encountered them. It is sometimes convenient when a
turnkey program does almost what I want to be able to tweak its actions.
Usually the situation is "gluing" macros or repetitions onto a program that
didn't have them. It could sort of be viewed as "a poor man's DDE" when that
is not available in the turnkey program.
