Well, My Athlon Win98 Box is pretty slick, and the Amiga is a little
behind now. But even so, it is sad that my 700 MHz completely freezes
while formatting CD/RW discs and such, for up to about an hour, and I
have to turn to the Amiga to do anything. Formatting a CD puts no
apparent strain on my Amiga, and it multitasks right along very nicely.
I can do work on the Amiga while burning CDs for example, and as long as
I don't crash something, all is well.
Could this be a function of having IDE drives on my PC but SCSI on the
Amiga? I don't know much yet about IDE but I've read some out of the
corners of my eyes that IDE doesn't allow for multitasking quite as well
as SCSI.
