Using COM

Has anyone an idea of how to use the microsoft COM interfaces?
I have been trying to use the microsoft Agent Server.
I have been able to get vtable pointers for the interfaces.
But only some methods work using a variation of the dll calling mechanism.
Possibly there is a different stack frame required than the one for DLL
useage?
Any information would be helpful.
