Re: Forth Web Pages

I assume the context we are talking about is a Server-based SwiftForth
system or a system running a local HTTP server using SF to serve data
requests embedded in the HTML.

Using Forth as a Server-based CGI is pretty straightforward (see examples at
www.Forth.org <http://www.Forth.org> or www.Taygeta.com
<http://www.Taygeta.com> : "Just How Slow is the Net Today"). Of course,
these examples use a Forth (e.g., This Forth) compiled on a Linux system
being used as an HTTP server (e.g., with Apache).

I understand that HTTP data requests can also be exchanged with any program
that supports environment variables and stdout (I can provide an article
describing this if anyone is interested). I also understand that there are
mini HTTP servers that run under Windows. This may be a better approach if
we want to use SwiftForth :-) This all theoretical, of course. I haven't
actually tried any of it.
