The subject ' "Reconfiguring" SwiftForth ' may not be the best summary
of my intent.
My questions are stimulated by:
1. the recent thread titled "Re: Recompiling REQUIRES.f".
2. uncertainty of what owners of "Standard Edition" can do which one
might assume are restricted to owners of "Professional Edition".
3. Ms. Rather stating that my desire to reduce size of SwiftForth
executable by removing some Windows references was impractical. I am
beginning to suspect that my original question may have been of the form
"Is the sky green or pigtail?" ;]
4. discovering that Mr. C. Petzold ( and presumably M$ ) presumes that
user _ALWAYS_ has a display capability >= than that employed by whomever
saved an image ( see my 3/10/02 post under Re: Displaying BMP
files/images ).
My questions are "Does there exist:
1. a list of dependencies in directory "Src" such that one might know
what modules must be "gilded" to kernel.exe to obtain the desired
functionality?
2. a set of instructions for creating a program with _ONLY_ the desired
characteristics?
My (possibly disjoint/conflicting/skew) desires are:
1. a minimal size "exe" file.
2. no implicit/explicit references to specific files ( e.g. Bmp.f which
I wish to totally rewrite to match my application).
3. ability to discard irrelevant ( for my specific application )
functionality.
