sf doesn't work anymore

after recieving an evaluation key for the newest swiftforth yesterday,
i was able to start swiftforth, play a little bit w/ the builtin examples,
shutdown and start again about 3-4 times but then it just didn't work
anymore,
i.e. it's starting, but doesn't pop up any windows (specially the main w.),
though it can be seen as an already loaded, registered process
(w/ e.g. sysinternals's processexplorer).
One example (graphics, don't remember which one) hung deeply,
it might be related to that somehow.
BTW s o m e examples didn't work properly.
if anybody would like to put some light on this ...
