Re: SF Failure on NTFS

Bob,

Thanks for responding. I'm also using XP Pro SP1.

I just turned off context indexing on just the SF tree
(location: c:\util\SwiftForth). SF's REQUIRES failed again
on the first use on a file not in my startup directory.
That file happens to be FPCONFIG.F (which is invoked in
FPMATH.F - I have a customized version in my startup
directory.)

I turned context indexing back on for the SF tree and
REQUIRES works again.

Bill

P.S. For anyone else with NTFS reading this and not knowing
how this is done: Hit <WinKey-E> to bring up the Explorer,
navigate to your SwiftForth directory. Right click on it
and choose Properties. On the General tab choose Advanced
and uncheck the second box to turn off indexing. Allow it
to be turned of for that "folder" and all sub-folders.
