I did a google search for DefScreenSaverProc and started reading.
Microsoft
doesn't explicitly say that it is available only in a .lib file, but it
does not exist in any dll that I could find on my Win2k machine. All of
the
external-to-microsoft references that discussed it referred to it as
a function supplied only in the link library.

Then I started poking around in the guts of one of microsoft's screen
savers, looking at all the import dlls and functions imported.
Confirmed;
no references to DefScreenSaverProc. This is, of course, not a
definitive
answer, but merely circumstantial. But overwhelming in my opinion.
