In response to some questions on this topic, here are some
guidelines for using floating point in SwiftForth:
1. If you're using floating point in callbacks or separate threads or
tasks, this initialization must be performed:
[ ... ] /NDP [DEFINED] NUMERICS [IF] 8 FSTACK [THEN]
The "8" is arbitrary, and could be increased. The [NUMERICS]...
phrase is only compiled if you loaded software floating point.
2. For a typical windows callback in an application, please use
a callback definition similar to:
:NONAME /NDP [DEFINED] NUMERICS [IF] 8 FSTACK [THEN]
MSG LOWORD APP-MESSAGES ; 4 CB: APP-WNDPROC
We'll try to add more on this in the next revision of the
manual.
