Maximum Size of a Registry Entry

Concerning my post titled "Two Maximum Questions", I have collected some =
information about my second question about the maximum size of a =
Registry entry. I still have nothing definitive on the maximum size of =
an individual entry, however.

The Registry itself can be huge. My current registry size is 29 =
Megabytes and my profile limit is set to 64. Evidently, the Registry =
can be increased beyond 64 MB, but I don't know by how much. =20

Second, I looked at a registry on one of our servers and found one =
application that greatly "abused" the directory, storing all of its =
configuration information there (evidently this is not considered a =
"best practice" but is also not unusual). I was worried about storing 4 =
numbers (closing screen position and size) and a file path/name in the =
SF registry entry. Evidently, this is no problem (even with a MAX_PATH =
and 32K filenames).
