I bought Windows 98 but find I haven't used it very much. I am still
using the Windows 95 version of his book because it explains things better
and has a better index. Windows 98 does not have much information on how
to program other than using MFC. Since I write code mostly in C the
Windows 98 version is not very helpful. I did not find that it was money
well spent.
