Dear Roger,

I haven't tried coding this, but could you do something like exec-ing:

Ping 'address' > pingtext.txt

For example and then read from the file pingtext.txt?

Live long and prosper,

Charles

Subject: [sftalk] ping

I need to be able to execute the Windows internet command "ping..." and
capture the results for use... unfortunately, ping opens a dos window
(or command prompt) and lists the results in that window, then closes
it.
Has anyone tried to work around this type of problem? Any suggestions?

- Roger
