Although I can't address the recent query about OpenGL (sorry, I deleted =
the thread), you might want to consider shelling out to GnuPlot and let =
it do your plotting for you. I have done this before and it works quite =
well. You just pass it parameters/data and it will plot for you =
(2D/3D). There are several modes you can use, but I chose to have it =
leave up an independent window that can be manipulated by the user =
(e.g., for printing) while application control returned to the turnkeyed =
SF application. Although I haven't used the latest version, there is =
now an alternate executable that allows you to pass parameters via STDIN =
(a la Unix). Although free, the disadvantage is of GnuPlot is that its =
executable must be carried around with your app.
This approach was suggested to me by Gary Sprung in a private =
communication. I can provide a working example, if anyone is =
interested.
