SwiftForth.pdf directed me to Lib\Samples\Win32\Serial.f, a serial port
personality. Is this like a terminal interface from SwiftForth? I include
it. It says:
Type <baud> COMPORT COM[1234] to open a connection.
Type: TEST to redirect I/O, ENOUGH to terminate
I type "38400 COMPORT COM2" and press Enter. I get "ok" and the second user
panel reports "COM@:38400"; its properties are 8N1N. (I have an 8N1N device
on COM2 that a terminal program interfaces with.) Then I type "TEST" and
Enter. SwiftForth appears to lock up. The cursor disappears. Regardless
what I have typed, nothing is returned. ENOUGH does nothing. SwiftForth
won't Break. Am I doing something wrong?
