Yep... true. You have to use the right tool for the job.

But that 10k constraint... I'd need to get SwiftX to do that I guess, since
every SwiftForth app I've ever compiled to an exec had the whole business in
there.

If version 3 fixes that I'm buying.

And.. about 'cross compilers'.... my C# compiler often gets cross. ;-)

It depends what you are using it for.
Try this with your C# .NET Studio: Write a fully functional interactive
cross-compiler and kernel to support development on a common microcontroller
(here in Europe we like the ARM, but you can use a ColdFire if you wish :-).
You have the following constraints:

1) Your kernel must fit in under 10K
2) You have three weeks

I can do this easily using SwiftForth (well, maybe four weeks). I think
maybe not so easily in that other environment. Get busy and let us know how
it goes !
