Do you want to talk to non-printer hardware through the printer port
(you have to ask the operating system for permission and open a
"porthole") ?
The SwiftForth way to do this is with a DLL called VICHW11, there is
some source code in PortIO.f
OR do you want to talk to a vendor-manufactured hardware interface
parallel port
<<<http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/4mi432-434.pdf>>>
in that case, you'll need to talk to some vendor-supplied DLL.
OR do you have a parallel printer port on the far side of a USB
interface. THATs a question for Leon or Rick or ???.

Subject: [sftalk] parallel port control
I have an hardware application requiring the use of parallel port I/O.
I am using SwiftForth version 3.0.2, with the OS being Windows XP.
Does anyone have a working Forth example for me to try??
Thank you
