The "porthole" installed with modern SwiftForth versions is GIVEIO.SYS. We
use this in SwiftX to gain access to the parallel ports for bit-banged debug
interfaces. But I don't see any source in the SwiftForth distro that
actually uses this. I'll dig around and either port something or include it
in the next maintenance release (due out in late September or early
October).
