This year's Forth Standards Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 26th
euroForth Conference in Hamburg, Germany. The host, Klaus Schleisiek, posted
the following invitation, including links to the official web site for
registration info and details about the venue. I have been going to these for a
few years now and it is always a wonderful experience!
Note that the start date and time for the Standards meeting is Wednesday 9/22
just after lunch.

Dear programming non-conformist,
I would like to invite you to attend the 26th euroForth conference on the Forth
Programming
Language and Forth Processors, the remaining international annual get-together
of the Forth
Community from Friday, September 24th until Sunday, September 26th at Haus
Rissen, Hamburg, Germany
with the traditional 4th day as an option until Monday and a preceeding "Forth
200X" standards meeting on Wednesay and Thursday.
As always, the conference is open to any Forth related topic:
Forth compilation techniques, advances in platform independence, stack based
architectures, compilation techniques for stack based architectures, real-time
and embedded systems solutions ...
You can contribute by presenting a Paper (20 minutes), by presenting a Poster,
or by hosting a Workshop.
If you mail your paper (< 15 pages) by September 20th in PDF format to
ks_at_send.de it will be included in the conference handouts. This is also the
deadline for workshop requests. And, as always, spontaneous contributions will
be given ample space and time. You must register by September 7th. There is
only a very limited number of double rooms
available. Therefore, you should hurry up if you intend to come with your
spouse! A limited number of students may participate at a reduced rate.
See: http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/anton/euroforth/ef10/ for the most
up-to-date information.
The venue: http://www.hausrissen.org/ (press the EN-button on the upper right)
Haus Rissen can be easily reached from the airport. Just get on the S1 commuter
train that runs every 10 minutes until Blankenese (52 minutes) and then take a
taxi for the last 3 km.
I hope to see you there :)
Klaus Schleisiek
