Windows programming

I have been using Forth to write utilities that are text command line
based but now I need to write a real Windows program. Up to now when
I needed a Windows program I would write it in Delphi which takes
care of all the interfacing to Windows so I'm not familiar with
internals to make Window create objects.

Since this program would be a better fit to FORTH I'm wondering if
there are libraries out there to make the task of interfacing with
Windows a lot easier than using WIN32? Maybe something like GTK+
which has the advantage of being Linux compatible also, anyone has
tried it out, if so how did it work out?

Thanks

Cecil
