Have you looked at the fixed-point fraction arithmetic library that comes
with SwiftX? It's described in the SwiftX Reference Manual, Section
6.3. The code is all high-level, found in \Src\Fraction.f. If your need
is time-critical, you might want to code some of the primitives such as *.
and /.
