v3 and Giveio.sys

I have W2K. Like NT, SwiftX requires a driver to unlock the parallel port
for downloads, etc. Since I started using SwiftX v3 I have been getting a
System Log error event: "The GIVEIO.SYS service failed to start due to the
following error: The specified network password is not correct." SwiftX
downloads w/ the parallel port fine-- I think because I'm using a driver
other than Giveio which installed into the registry correctly (to start
automatically). It is curious that this error occurs every time I download;
if 20 times in a day, there are 20 errors in Event Viewer. Anybody know how
to stop the noise?

SwiftX v2 does not generate these errors.
