INTERPRETER ;CODE to TARGET :

I'm looking for an easier way to call a Forth word from INTERPRETER ;CODE .
The following:

TARGET
: TESTT 0 DROP ;
INTERPRETER
: TESTI CREATE 0 ,
  ;CODE ' TESTT BSR RTS END-CODE

fails with TESTT ?
The following works:

TARGET
: TESTT 0 DROP ;
LABEL <TESTL> ' TESTT BRA END-CODE
ASSEMBLER
: TESTA ( -- ) <TESTL> CALL ;
INTERPRETER
: TESTI CREATE 0 ,
  ;CODE TESTA RTS END-CODE
