Thanx for the reply, im new to swiftx but not new to forth and at the time I
wasn't able to try because everything I tried failed on one error or another
(lol) - I find myself trying to do things in a FORTH-like way and swiftx
keeps bucking me :)

With regard to your actual question - did you try it? What happened?
This is one of the great things about Forth. It's interactive, and you
can easily try all sorts of things to see if they work.

This is the part of the scene where you say - "That was no help
whatsoever!"

I have made some definitions using methods> after a co-worker here told

about them.
 
The "how to define a word that uses methods" is very easily figured out
with
a quick look at the example definition for value. The problem however
is
that I am unable to discover how those fetch and store methods work - if
I
define a word "foo" with a fetch and a store method how do I actually
fetch
the value within foo and store a new value therein? - is foo
effectively a
value now? - do I just name foo to get its value and use 10 to foo to
change
it ?
