Its target specific. I tried the same codebase with another unit and it
works as expected.

Through Paralle l Port BDM

Coldfire target connected to PC via BDM and parallel port.
Start SwiftX v2.51.3.
Press F9 (download).
Target resets, and keeps resetting about every 3 seconds.
SwiftX stops responding to Windows.
Disconnect cable, target stops resetting.
Connect, it starts again.
End Task SwiftX, still resetting
Cycle target power, still resetting
Log off Windows, still resetting
Shut down Windows, stops resetting when PC powers off.
Power on, held in reset
At the end of Windows 2K text progress bar, target comes out of reset
