i2c bus and UART driver for MSP430

I am just starting using SwiftX and Forth on MSP430.
I am using an old version (around 2002) of SwiftX that has no uart driver.
I bought SwiftX and never used for luck of time.
I am now the opportunity to evaluate for some siple application and I am
using the old version.
Has anyone already written the drivers for uart and i2c bus?
It will help me very much in my evaluation to use these drivers. It's hard
starting Forth writing these drivers.
